Title: I am a SEAL Team Six Warrior
Author: Howard E. Wasdin, Stephen Templin Genre: Nonfiction Prediction: After reading the first few chapter I think that this will be about what he did as a SEAL Team Six sniper. I think this because the chapter titles suggest something about SEALs. |

The author's message might be that getting beat is bad, but it might help in the long run. I can connect to this because in elementary school we watched a video on kids getting beaten by relatives. I've seen this expressed in that video I watched. |
After Reading
Focusing on text-to-world connections: This reminds me of the terrorism in Iran. In the story they go to take out a terrorist while in real life the US is dealing with terrorism in Iran. In the story Howard bets beaten a lot but in real life you hear a lot about people getting beaten.
Questioning: I would recommend this book because its a true story about a guy who overcame early challenges and challenges that could have killed him. It's an action and adventure and the storyline is very inspiring. Though I must say there is language in this book, so readers discretion is advised. I wouldn't change the ending because it closes out the story without a cliffhanger. If I could ask the Howard E. Wasdin a question, I would ask him how he made it through all those challenges like the mindset he had for making it through them. |
